About Chanson Magique
For more than 30 years, Chanson Magique has helped young children discover French naturally through songs, movement, stories, and creative play. Created by musician, songwriter, and early childhood French educator Muriel Vergnaud, Chanson Magique offers joyful musical experiences where children feel welcomed, confident, and inspired to explore.
OUR STORY
How Chanson Magique Began
When I first started teaching young children, I wanted to create a place where every child could experience the joy of music and language. A place filled with beautiful songs, imagination, wonder, and connection.
Over time, I discovered something simple and powerful: Children learn best when they are engaged, curious, and having fun. Through music, movement, and stories, French becomes something children experience naturally — not something they are asked to memorize. That is how Chanson Magique was born.

About Muriel
I am a musician, songwriter, and early childhood French educator. After studying music, early childhood education, and art history in Paris, I moved to New York City, where I created my first program, Muriel’s World, which later became Chanson Magique.
For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of sharing music with thousands of children and families. Through every class, my goal remains the same: To create a place where children feel confident, curious, and joyful while discovering French through music.
